How to be recognized by Jesus Christ

It was another beautiful day in God’s presence as God’s people gathered to worship the King of Kings, The Ancient of Days, The Lion of the tribe of Judah, The Immaculate Lamb of God - Jesus Christ. This assembly of God was composed of people on-site and on-line through various mediums such as YouTube Live and the ZOOM app and across different time zones. Time and distance were not going to stop God’s people from worshiping His Holy Name through the ministry The Word is Spirit and Life. The service commenced with opening prayers led by the evangelists which was followed up with worship unto The Eternal Rock of Ages.

“ I do not know you! ”

To kick off his message, the Man of God proceeded by questioning the congregation about what they thought his answer would be if someone walked into the church and asked the Man of God if he knew each person in the congregation. All the congregation concluded that the Man of God would say yes to the question citing that they have been following the ministry since its inception and his parents who were in the congregation said of course since he is their son, he would say yes. And then he asked what their reaction would be if he said he doesn’t know them to which they all answered they would be surprised. The Man of God then gave the example of Jesus Christ when His earthly mother and brothers came to see Him but He responded with “my brothers and sisters are those who do the will of God”. He stated that denying someone does not necessarily mean to refuse to acknowledge their existence but to disassociate oneself from that which is not of their spirit. Reading from Romans 8:9, the Man of God affirmed that those who have the Spirit of God belong to Him and those who don’t have the Spirit of God do not belong to Him. He emphasized that two people could be related in the flesh by blood but belong to different kingdoms in the spirit. He added that those who are not of the same spirit are not connected to the same father. Apostle Éloge then said if the congregation would be surprised by his answer then imagine how many people would be surprised on the last day when the Lord tells them that He doesn’t know them. This led the Man of God to his message titled “I do not know you”

The Man of God further explained to the church that when God comes to inquire of His worshippers, the question will not be who attended Apostle Éloge’s church, or who has been a Christian since birth, or who has been serving in the church since their youth but who worshiped God in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus Christ must see the evidence of His Spirit residing in you. Those who have the Spirit of Christ are led by His Spirit. So, if the Spirit of God is dwelling in you, whatever you do will be led and directed by the Spirit of God such as your worship, words and actions. He then went on to present 4 evidences that the Spirit of Christ dwells in us.

- Our fruits : Our fruits are evidence that the Holy Spirit is residing in us. From Matthew 7:15-20, the Man of God said the fruits the Bible is talking about are not the works of healing, deliverance, prophecy and the likes but the evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in the heart of the believer. He told the church not to confound the gift of the Spirit with the fruits of the Spirit. He went on to read Galatians 5:22-23. If one is not bearing the fruits mentioned in the latter passage, it shows the Holy Spirit is not at work within their heart. By our fruits, we shall show who is at work within us.

- Our acts : From Matthew 25:31-46, James 2:17-26 & James 1:27. The Man of God emphasized on the importance of helping those around us. He stated that God will always use the faculty of the believer to bless others. We are blessed to bless others, we are saved to save others.

- Not being ashamed of the Gospel: Romans 1 :16, Apostle Éloge declared that if the Spirit of God is residing within you but you are ashamed of him in the midst of your friends, The Holy Spirit will not want to have anything to do with you anymore. Quoting the scriptures, He stated that those who are ashamed of Jesus Christ, The Lord will be ashamed of them in front of His Father on the last day. No matter how faithful you are in the secret, if you are ashamed of the Lord in public, He shall be ashamed of you before the Father.

- Prioritizing the Gift Giver over the gifts: John 14:26. The Man of God urged the church to value their relationship with the Holy Spirit rather than the gifts He has placed in us. It is the Holy Spirit who will teach us how to effectively use the gifts God has placed in us. Without Him, we might misuse our gifts, misuse it to hurt ourselves and others. He stated if the Holy Spirit is at work within us, we will value Him more than any gifts. He enlightened the congregation that it is not the gift that saves but the Gift Giver. He ended this point with Matthew 6:33.

He concluded by saying when Jesus says He does not know you, it does not mean that He is not aware of your existence or your service to the church but that He sees no evidence of His Spirit at work within you.

Ministration of Prayers

No one was left out during the ministration of prayers. Viewers on YouTube Live were told to touch the screen as the Man of God stretched out his hand to pray for them. Those who were connected via zoom would not allow the time difference discourage them from coming to God’s presence and they were rewarded as God’s power was visibly seen moving in their midst to bring transformation, deliverance, a new life and removing anything that was not of God.

Those in the congregation also received a divine touch from God through His anointed servant along with their prayer request forms.

Mass prayer
After the laying of hands, Apostle Éloge led the congregation in mass prayer, commanding any spirit working against their family to come out. He prayed for healing to locate them and for them to receive their freedom from any sickness. He then went on to break any covenants with demons in their lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
