Forgive to be Forgiven
November 3rd, the church congregated once again under the direction of the Holy Spirit after a long absence from the physical church. This time, viewers all over the world were able to follow the church service through the ZOOM app and YouTube Live. The evangelists kicked off the service with prayers of thanksgiving to the Lord and of forgiveness. They urged the church to pray for God to strengthen the Man of God Apostle Éloge for what God was about to use him to do during the service. The Church was hereafter led through a moment of spirit-filled worship unto the Lord and welcoming the Holy Spirit into the midst of the congregation.
Forgive to be Forgiven
The man of God greeted the congregation and proceeded to thank those who were in the zoom line for their presence despite it being very late in their respective countries due to the time differences. He equally thanked the viewers who were watching through YouTube Live for their support for this ministry. He then went on with his sermon titled Forgive to be Forgiving. Taking his reading from Matthew 6:9-14, the Man of God admonished the crowd on the danger of unforgiveness. He stated that praying unto Jesus for forgiveness without forgiving others is telling Jesus not to forgive you. That failing to forgive others is failing to receive forgiveness from God, so one must have in the forefront of their mind to forgive others when praying unto God for forgiveness. He added that harbouring offenses in our heart will rob us of God’s gift because it will not allow room for the Holy Spirit to operate. Our heart is the communication point between us and the Holy Spirit, when it is filled with offenses, bitterness and pain of the past, the Holy Spirit will not be able to operate. He said that God was calling us to forgive others with God’s kind of forgiveness and not man’s kind of forgiveness. Man’s kind of forgiveness sweeps the dirt under the rug whereas God’s kind of forgiveness removes everything as if we’ve never sinned before. Quoting Apostle John from 1 John 1:9, Apostle Éloge reminds the congregation that “ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. He emphasized the phrase “ from all unrighteousness” highlighting that God’s kind of forgiveness does not forgive some but all.
He warns the congregation to be weary of the lies of the enemy that their sins of yesterday and of the past are not forgiving. No matter how dirty they think they may be, he quoted the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 1:18 saying the Lord has given His Word that “ Come now, let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow, though they be red as crimson they shall be as white as snow”. He then tells the crowd that if they have benefitted from this kind of forgiveness why can’t they forgive others their trespasses. He urges the crowd to forgive so they can receive God’s forgiveness that in God’s forgiveness lies all the package that is required for us to succeed. Failing to forgive is failing to receive this package. In other words, if you want to receive God’s blessing you must bless others, if you want to receive God’s favour you must favour others. He tells the church that if their lives seem stagnant, if their carrier seems not to move, they should look within their heart whom they are holding offense against.
He concluded by quoting Prophet TB Joshua that “the person must hurt by unforgiveness is you not the person who offended you”. When we fail to forgive, we fail to receive God’s forgiveness for the day. When we fail to forgive, we fail to receives God’s blessing, favour and progress for the day. He finished with “the issue of forgiving others is made simple when we realise that we were once enemies of God until He forgave us. So failing to forgive others shows that you have not understood or benefitted from God’s forgiveness”.
ZOOM Prayerline
After the sermon, it was now time for the ministration of prayer. The Man of God began with the ZOOM Prayerline. He called unto the people as He was led by the Spirit of God. While offering praying for those on the ZOOM, the Spirit of God led him at times to pray for those in the hall simultaneously and for those watching through YouTube Live, demonstrating the real, authentic and forceful power of God. By the ZOOM app medium, God proved through His servant Apostle Éloge that space, time and matter are not barriers to His power as the people felt the power of God move through them.
Count me in your blessing
Leading the congregation during the mass prayer, the Man of God Apostle Éloge tells the congregation to ask Jesus Christ to count them in His blessin, favour and breakthrough. He then went on to break any demonic covenant operating the lives of God’s power and that every unclean spirit to come out in Jesus Christ’s name.
Join us again next Sunday, same time and venue. God bless you!
